Today I decided to take a risk in the kitchen and add new flavors to my old recipe for scones. So I experimented with lemon and lavender. The owner of Cookies in Ballard inspired me months ago after I tried one of her delicious lavender shortbread cookies. She sold me the lavender blossoms and shared some tips. The first batch was a little dry, so I made a second one with more cream. Yum! yum!
